It's time for our FINAL bi-monthly Orange County CRX meet!

Please do not post this meet at other forums or sites. This includes sites like Honda-Tech, NWP, Craigslist , Myspace, Facebook, etc., etc.
This is a CRXCommunity meet for CRXCommunity members. I intentionally do not advertise this meet at places like HondaTech because I do not want to attract that kind of crowd to this meet. Thanks

What: CRX Meet
When: Sunday, November 15, 2015. 10am to 5pm-ish
Where: Irvine Regional Park, Orange, CA
1 Irvine Park Road
Orange, CA 92862

Here's more info about the park: -->PDF brochure<-- -->PDF map<--

There is a $5 charge at the gate. No in and outs.

Directions:
From the 55 fwy, take the Katella exit and head East. It will dead-end at Jamboree. Turn left and head into the park.

From the 5 fwy, exit Jamboree and head North. Take Jamboree all the way until it ends, at the park.

After you pay at the gate, turn right as soon as you can. Follow this road for a while until you get to a CRX sign where you will turn to the right. Follow that road until you get to the sign at the meet spot. See the map below. For those that looked at the map in the pdf above, we'll be in parking lot P14.

Notes about the park and the meet:
1. This is a meet, not a car show. Don't worry about what condition your car is in. Just come out and have some fun with other CRX owners.

2. The speed limit in the park is 10mph! The rangers are always on the watch here. Please do not speed, rev, burnout, etc in the park! We like having our meets here and do not want to lose this place due to someone that can't control the way they drive.

3. There is no alcohol allowed in the park. The rangers do make random stops to check for this. Please comply.

4. There is no skateboarding in the park.

5. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to open our hoods. Please keep your hoods closed guys!

So this is it fellas! The final count down! Get your CRX's shined up, and we'll see eachother tomorrow!

Just to note....as Javi mentioned above...the weather forecast currently calls for a 25% chance of rain. Scratch that.....I just checked and it's now at 60% change of rain!

No worries about cancellation though. This meet will be happening rain or shine. Just be prepared to get wet!

So the Rex is apparently down and I've been grinding since 3am outside in the cold, just to swap my new engine to make this meet... but I'm so beat and I'm gonna tackle the rest in a few hours. Hopefully make it out because this totally blows

Dead Engine

New engine waiting in passenger seat

Little peak of life's mishap

You guys sure the the curse isn't just for yellow CRXs?

Ah bummer man! Good luck getting it taken care of! Hopefully you'll get it running and we'll still see you out there today!

Ok guys! Today is the day! Everybody drive safe, and please drive respectful through the park!
Also....make sure to grab a jacket and an umbrella before you head out!

The meet is a wrap !!!! It's starting to hit me now..that this is the FINAL Socal CRX meet...Ive always loved this meet over all the other meets I attend (S2000 and NSX) because of how down to earth everyone is. I felt the love for the CRX chassis today and I hope it stays alive here in Socal. I'm sure we'll see each other again in the future.. take care my CRX brethren!

Pic of me and Hyperkick (Chad) (who came from Norcal btw!!)

PS : more pics to come!

Well, the meet is done. It was a great finish to a 10 year run for our meets! We had a great turn-out of cars and people. Lots of good food, car talk, and laughs (mostly at the expense of Jesus and Pablo. (Get a room you two! lol))

I just want to say thanks to everyone that showed up yesterday, and to everyone that's come out over the years. You guys really are why we continued to host this meet all these years.

I know it's not cheap for you guys to attend the meet (between the costs of gas, and the gate fee, and food.) So many many thanks to everyone that contributed food/drinks. That helps a ton to relieve the costs by Jesus and I.

Thanks to Jesus and Davey for lending a hand with the grilling, and to Chris for helping out with the cutting of the carne asada, and to Gary for taking care of the emptying/re-filling the cooler while I was cooking.

Thanks to my brother Mike (Tougeoni) for starting this meet with me 10 years ago. I'm really glad you were able to make it out this weekend to end the meets with us.

And many thanks to Jesus, for helping co-host this meet with me for all these years! Thanks for keeping me company on all those early mornings, and helping set up our gear and with the costs of food/supplies. Thanks, Pal!

As for the future of this meet....many many many of you (almost everyone that attended yesterday? lol) asked me throughout the day if there was any way we'd continue the meet in some fashion. I'm not making any promises....but I think I finally came around on the idea of the possibility of turning this into an annual meet. I guess just keep an eye open in this forum for any development of that.

In the meantime...let's continue to celebrate this past weekend. I saw many of you taking photos out there. Let's get them posted here! Thanks for Wes for already posting your photos! They look great dude! Hopefully I'll get mine posted within the next week or so.

Thank you OC CRX!!!

This meet was AWESOME!!!! :)b I was always inspired by this event since 2009 and happy I was able to make it to one and the FINAL one as well. It was worth my drive from Northern California just to attend this meet and the love of CRX.

It was nice to see how down to earth everyone was and how many CRX came out for this event. Also, the great BBQing &great food everyone brought. I hope by posting this event in my NorCal CRX Owners group will inspire people to come out so, we could have a great meet events like this. Thank you again for making this a memorable trip for me. :peace:

joey what size rims and offset is that? also what size tires? any fender roll needed? looks nice!
The wheels are 15x7 +35 (I think) Front fenders and rear arches are stock and untouched but the car isnt ultra slammed in the rear. It will rub if i go lower back there.

thanks ! I think the car looks pretty aggressive now!

Thanks, I actually saw that and was wondering if anyone else got more photos.
