Start planning now, it takes procrastinators at least a year to get their stuff (passports and car) together.
For those that don't know, keep an eye on the N meet page, http://niagaracrxmeet.org/ and/or the FB group page for further details.

Is the Amish passport similar to the US one?
I wouldn't know, I hate the Amish.
And the Amish hate us English folk.
Being that I grew up in "Amish" country, the common misconception is that Amish are a good, wholesome people. I'm not going to get into why they aren't. There's actually a lot of people around me (older people as well) that don't like them for who they really are.

My son who is involved in Health Care, says they can be difficult patients. To me the fact that by in large they are poorly educated, not even reaching high school level, probably plays a role. From what I have seen in documentaries, the kids are not prepared for life away from the group, and they are ostracized by their families if they leave. They treat their horses like farm implements, but this is the reality of farming with horses. They are great at training horses to pull wagons, but I don't know what methods they use. We have a Haflinger that is very well trained by the Amish but bears scars from previous poor treatment. Who knows, that is just anecdotal. Also don't get me started on the puppy mills they run. Sad.

Just found out that our closing finishes up on Friday the 14th. Which means I drive up part of the way after traffic comes down a bit on Friday, stop about half way at a plush no tell motel, then finish up Saturday morning, camp that night, and drive back down on Sunday. My back is already hurting.

Getting ready here too. Dropping off my car to get the rusty exhaust tips replaced with a SS Magnaflow set of tips that I had ceramic coated. Then it's just tracking down an electrical drain, a bit of rust repair, and then putting all of the interior back together and making it pretty, or as pretty as I can.

Not much talk here or on FB about the meet, but that seems to be typical for these meets for whatever reason.

Ryan - you decide on which car you're taking up?

No, though I've ben driving the Integra far more than the CRX so I feel more comfortable with it at the moment. Plus my CRX makes me sad when I look at it when I see the faded paint and such  of course the wife keeps saying, "It's a CRX meet, not an Integra meet" :rolleyes1: The Teg would be a much smoother ride as well.

A CRX meet is not a CRX meet if your CRX breaks down en route, though.

I'm hoping that the battery drain can be figured out, though I went with a larger Odyssey (1200 vs the teeny 680), and disconnecting it after every drive isn't really that big of a deal with the wingnuts on the terminals. It hasn't shown any evidence of decreased voltage yet, which is a good sign.

Our office moved this year, and I got lucky that it's only a 6 mile drive through local traffic, but still wedging myself into a fixed back Cobra seat is probably a funny sight to onlookers. Sitting like that for 7 hours straight will be an interesting exercise in torture.

Uh, yeah. We discussed this on Facebook. Or have you not put together that I'm Ryan so you would know that already. And Heather is coming as well.
