Last weekend a picked up some other parts. Front bumper support and brackets and some gaskets I couldn't get from the dealer, also NOS. Free 1987 calendar as well

These also came in. Refurbished OEM CRX wheels.

Also bought this from a dealer in Germany. Mine looked to be welded due to rust, and as I want to lower the CRX I don't want it to tear apart later on

Received a Genuine Mugen emblem.

Did some more work today. Slow progress, but all the metal work is just taking a lot of time, first time doing this and don't want to just weld some metal back in.

Started with the easy stuff :p, new front bumper support fitted tot the bumper. Now it hangs straight right away when I hang it on

That also meant I could weld this bracket back on in the right place.

Then I fixed this part. Bought a bead roller so now it's a bit easier to make some of this stuff.

Also decided to cut out the complete sill. Not much was left of it as it turned out. Looked good from the outside.

OEM piece for reference

Used the bead roller to create this more of a OEM look

Noticed a hole and that the lower part was already rusted. So cut it out

Used the "old" piece from the quarter panel.

This pretty much took me the whole day. Did some small things but not worth mentioning. Next up is drilling holes in the quarter panel and weld that in place. And fix the floor panel

I bought this bead roller, but it only had some standard rolls for it of course.

My dad made me these. Exact measurements from the OEM floor panel

So after some messing around I got this, kinda looks like it so thats a start.

And then today I made it a bit better looking and fitting. Also got that front piece done back into the wheel arch. Just a matter of welding it all back in now. But at least work is getting done.

Almost done, just a piece to be made on the inside of the sill to cover up the jack point. Removed the sound deadening stuff as well and cleaned it up a bit.

Some small updates. First of all I bought some new wheels :p. Weather is getting better so want to work outside.

Started removing the rear subframe. as I have a new one for it as you might have seen.
Had been welded and came across this so couldn't let it go by.

Adjustable panhard bar came in.

The fixed piece on the subframe.

Seatbelt was held in place by the carpet :p.

And removing more and more rust.

Hoping to speed things up on this side. Knowing what to do and how to remove it since I did the other side should help.

great progress! keep it going. judging from your 2nd gen, this one is going to turn on spectacular!
I hope so as well. If it gets anywhere near the ED I'll be happy. Once the rust is removed it's of to the paint shop right away.

wow love this project!

Also the oem wheels looks splendid!
Thanks Alex, yes love those, happy to have to have found a clean set.

Gettin down man, excellent work. A bit scary to think the seatbelt was being held down by nothing but the carpet.
I know, I actually drove the car a few weeks without knowing this. It didn't feel like it was loose at all. And thanks :D

Looking great as always. Lot more work on this project I see (rust that is,) but seems you are doing a top quality job.
Yes lot's of rust on this one. But I was looking for a serious project to do (found one  ). It's a learning process, never done work like this all by myself. Never welded or done sheetmetal work.

She's back, not sure how long it has been, close to a year. Just going to change the fluids and drive her a bit, and back inside she goes I hope.

Also got some more done on the 1G. Just this weekend I painted the engine bay.
Love that metallic in the paint. Can't wait to see the whole car in this color.

Also went to the UK again for a meet by 6TWO1. Great fun, love those trips with my friends.

Joined by this CRX. He started this 13 years ago, but has build a EG in between and some other things, but has always stayed true to what was the style 13 years ago. The details on this are amazing.

Damn man I was supposed to come to the IMPACT meet by 6two1, couldn't get the car out of my garage as the driveway was being worked on. I want to get to the EF meet one of these days.

Keep up the good work.

Incredible as always.

Nice SRT10 Ram too. It's crazy how much bigger that thing is than the CRX.
Thanks man, yeah it's huge compared to the CRX, not mine though.
