I have a 90 CRX HF with a bent (LH) steering knuckle. Does anyone know if I can install a 90 CRX SI steering knuckle on my HF? The Honda part numbers are not the same (SI knuckle verses the HF knuckle). The HF part number is (LH)- 51215-SH2-AO1 - The SI part number is (LH) - 51215-SH3-O3O Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Pete
I can tell you that the hubs are not the same. The axle you have won't fit in the Si hub. Are you willing to swap axles? That also means new trans oil.
The brakes are different as well but can be swapped.
Yes,if you have a new bearing, access to a press, and assuming the diameters are compatible. I haven't compared them closely enough to say that the hubs and/or bearings can be swapped. Maybe someone else knows better.
I just had a local shop do those jobs for $20; though, I admit it can get expensive if you need multiple hubs pressed.
