hey can people running harnesses post up pics of where they mounted them and how they did it and what not, i will be running a harness for our once a month local autox and would like to see where others mounted theirs, thanks!
If you mean that it looks like the tube was crush-bent rather than mandrel-bent, then yeah I can agree there. The strength isn't going to be there that way. You also want the bars to be tight to the side of the cockpit and to the roof for best strength.
The seats are Sparcos. Worn but functional. Think they, at least, are fine for now.
Thanks, everyone, for all the input! Definitely seems like tearing out the existing cage and (perhaps) installing a new one is the way to go. For the time being I'll just be doing autocross, which of course doesn't require a cage, so I may just install new stock seat belts and mounts, and perhaps a pair of used CRX seats. Anyway, I appreciate all the great advice, and if/when I do install a proper cage, this thread will be very helpful!
Is there enough room to mount the shoulder harness to the bar immediately behind the seat?
