Has anyone ever used a custom rear view mirror?

The inside rear-view mirror looks like it could be improved with a custom one. Maybe a smaller one?
Has it been done?

Why would you go with a smaller one?

This is the only one I've seen done...

I dunno, the one in the CRX looks like its for a Crown Vic or something.
Are all the compact car rear views that big?

I think it's pretty small. I got an All-View, which is pretty ginormous, but necessary with my fixed back seat, rollbar, small side mirrors, and all of the blind spots they create.

I'm sure you could fit in a smaller mirror somehow, but I haven't seen it done.

I'd rather have a mirror that was too big, not going to hurt being able to see more.
The Crx mirror isn't really any bigger or different than the later model Civic or even our Element.

seems big in the windscreen area to me.
I know the rearview of the hatch is not that big, the side view mirrors are more effective.

ive seen a walk trough, using the existing mirror arm and retro-fitting it to another brand one (chevy I think) the guy was doing it to add lights to its mirror.

If you gut out your existing one and use the arm by retro-fitting it to the new mirror, it should work.

I think is was on honda tech forum, found it using google.

hope that helps.
