Fender well and underbody work

Postby FlipTheSkillet » Tue Dec 27, 2016 7:11 pm

Hey everyone,

I've got some rust on my '88 CRX that I'm looking to take care of. Have any of you restored this area? Is this a part or do I need fabrication?

I've got to replace that part myself - was planning on just fabricating it, since it turns out the part fixmyrust sells doesn't actually fit and my damage isn't bad enough to be worth paying for the Wolf Steel version. Plus, it's covered by that plastic cover anyway, it doesn't have to be a perfect fab.

What part do you have as a spare? Just curious if there's another good option out there, this is definitely a common rust spot.
