Stability Issues

Postby Meech » Sun Jul 28, 2013 6:41 pm

Over the past couple months I have encountered a "Error 500" while in the chat room and when I go check on the forum it is down too. Usually it's only for a few seconds or maybe up to a minute. This time it was about 10 minutes. What's up?

This wasn't supposed to be an issue when the "new regime" took over.
:chin:

I had this happen for me for the first time today.

this is what we get when a business who's main goal is ad revenue.
things are not maintained, or looked after.

It Makes people who administer IT systems for a living, a bit pissed off.
every single issue I've observed thus far, could have bee prevented.

..blah blah more {cruding} blah blah...

yes I know we have no control...

We had the same issues when Fisher ran it...
That was one of the biggest gripes about the sale, from a private individual, to a business...nothing has been upgraded or is better. The only things that have changed are the addition of the ads.... :rolleyes1:

sorry, it gets to me more than others,
because this sort of thing is what I do for a living. So seeing it, and not being able to fix it....
makes OCD go crazy

Working fine for me today. Must have been just a short term glitch.

All in all I have no issues with the forum. 99% of the time I have no problems, never see ads, with the exception of the inserted links which I know not to click.

As for who's running the site ... makes no difference to me. I can't say I've noticed any changes, good or bad, since the sale. If it takes a few ads for NON members to keep the site running I say go for it. I'd hate for this immense resource to go away.

Really who are you trying to bs?

And btw I got another server error a little bit ago...

Why is it like with the Tapatalk issue we have to have a mod or admin with no power send a work request in to fix this...I thought there was a guy that had this site as his responsibility... Just log in a couple times a week.

I've had an Android Fan redirect for the last few days. So, I'm not the only one?

Hello,

Is the redirecting still happening? Andriodfans.com is another one of our forums but you all shouldn't be redirected to it.
Under what conditions is the "internal server" and "crxcommunity not found" errors occurring, is in in specific sections or does it happen randomly? Is there a pattern of what time it happens? If so can you post the time and time zone.
The more information I get about the errors the better.

Also, the tapatalk for this forum is working now.

Thanks for the help everyone!

only takes a week of posts to get the admin to notice. good job! (I know PMs are faster, but they are a damn admin, this is what they get paid for)

AG_admin,

it's random, at least for me. sometimes it's loading a new post, sometimes it's a simple refresh.
I also get it in tapatalk (error, server not found)

I can record times, will look from here on out.

Random, like everyone is saying. If you want times check the screen shots on the bottom right. I'm in California.
