[POLL CLOSED] Section to buy/sell non-CRX related stuff?

Postby crxfisher » Tue Apr 21, 2009 6:52 am

Should we create a new classifieds section to sell random stuff? See the original discussion here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=27695

Vote and continue discussion here.

I'll say as long as they can be adapted or swapped to the CRX some how, yes. (IE climate control, suspensions, engines, etc). Now, if it is like a different car brand, nope. IMO.

I'm all for it, IF there is a minimum post count or membership time to use it. That keeps it to established members only, not people who randomly show up to sell stuff.

Yes and No, I think we need some restrictions. If I want useless crap I'll go to ebay :-)b
For instance if I have Accord parts (that don't fit a crx) sure ... My kids old toys heck no!

Yes with restrictions so it doesn't turn into craigslist/ebay

Ok, maybe I need to clarify this a bit...

Non-CRX-related stuff also means "Random stuff that has nothing to do with anything." We already have provisions in the Classifieds for non-CRX stuff that can be adapted to work in a CRX. This new section would be for stuff like video games, appliances, toy trains, computer parts, or any other random bag of crap.

I'm not trying to sway the vote by any means. I haven't voted yet myself. And you do have the ability to change your vote if you want. That's a nice new feature. :-)b

I vote yes, but with restrictions as well. As a community, I think we can help each other out by buying other members stuff, even if it is non crx or even auto related. But, I agree with this not turning into a craigslist or an ebay. Maybe sellers should have to be approved by the admin depending on their activity on the community. So if someone that is hardly ever on here all the sudden is selling a ton of stuff, then they could deny his posts. I don't know though, just an idea.

Well if this is the case then I want to change my vote to no.... btw I don't see an option to change votes.

Also why is BBCode set to off???

BBCode and editing posts was turned off for this forum, but it should be good now.

I also think this new forum idea dilutes the site.

I voted yes, only because I would feel better buying random crap from someone on here who is already established.

OK, well I changed my vote to yes, if thats the case. I do have a bunch of crap that is useless to me that might be useful to a member here stored on my unit back home. I think its a good Idea. :-)b

This is why I changed my vote to yes.

We could call it, "The Garage Sale"........if it's approved, that is.

I went from yes to no... I've been trying to buy crx parts and all these n00b sellers and they hardly reply. If you made a minim post count or something then I might change my mind.

Members don't charge an arm and a leg for shipping like sleezebay . Also, I don't browse craigslist as much as this site so... I may come across something that i just can't pass up.

I say yes.

I voted yes but will never use it. I'd rather buy stuff off craigslist locally.....just voted yes so other members who want to can use it.

^^ yeah it amazes me how many members we have on here, yet virtually none contribute to voting, or site suggestion discussions, etc.

Members at large = failsauce. :P
