:-)b , Good article.
Cool to see mentions about the AWD GSR, though there were AWD versions for the 2nd gen Integra.
This not only applies to Honda, but Toyota, Nissan, and Subaru.
Look at the lineup in each manufacture.
Each of those 4 had amazing and fun platforms back in the 90's....all of which are gone.
With that said, it is also a different world now.
Cars are more than mere transportation and aren't the cool status symbol they once were.

Eh, we all know Honda's basically selling to the same --people-- they were back in the 80s-90s, not the same demographic. The average age of Civic buyers is ~51 now. In 2005 it was 40. It the 80s it was 30ish. And the cars reflect that change. Old customers don't drive innovation in cars any more than they drive innovation in smartphones :). Honda may go the way of Buick/Oldsmobile in another decade or two if they don't get their act together...

Been saying it for a decade, Honda in the USA wants to be more like Buick, no the ricer racer image.

The various Civic Type R's would have been a hit here. The Accord Euro R's were built in Ohio then shipped to the UK.

Cars are different because people are different. This article really comes across as bitching from a fanboy; it's basically a cliche at this point.
