The armrest ended up being a sham. 2 guys that knew each other set the sale on eBay up. It ended up selling for $1,200 outside of eBay is what I read. They guy who was buying it anyway just kept bidding to drive the price up so people would actually think someone is willing to pay that much.

That's still too much, but incredibly dishonest too!

I've also read/heard that certain parts are not out of stock overseas.
So there have been certain individuals on here that have presumably been buying low overseas, hoarding these pieces and then jacking up the prices, which throws a wrench into the supply and demand market when it is skewed by a few individuals.
They claim to be enthusiasts, and sell under the guise of "real enthusiasts will pay these prices", those are not real enthusiasts, they're scumbag opportunists.
I'm also gathering these assumptions based on this individuals posts, when he says it took "3 months to get a new BNIB OEM front bumper cover".

For me, it's some small cosmetic stuff.
I don't like the styling of the cluster surround, seats, corner lights, tail lights, and the fact that it has door mount belts.

I like the cluster but agree about the door mounted seat belts.

It had the worst of everything for the Si. The 90-91 had better cosmetics and rear discs. The 88 had no door mounted seat belts. (US spec)

CRX is like pizza--even bad pizza is better than no pizza!

(Until you get Black Widows or other plastic on your pizza. ;) )

"Mango Bango", 1990 CRX Si -- Sold on 10/01/11, with over 227,000 miles.

VTEC is Honda's "select a cam profile on the fly" system; VTECH is a crappy phone.

I personally find it funny when people talk about $1-10k like it would bankrupt them.

The retro video game scene is pretty insane right now too, there are a few games that go for over 5k easily.

I'll take a CA CRX but not a pizza from California nor Chicago.

For most Honda fan boys, it will. When you can't afford an alignment, complain about it, and try to DIY it in your driveway, you need to re-prioritize your life.
But then again, spending $1500 for a pair of floor mats is nuts.

Not sure if sarcastic, I'd love to see links to ebay. I tried and couldn't find anything.

Real asking prices, but they're not on ebay.

Baker, he didn't list that on ebay but he is a regular seller on ebay. I recognize the NSX he uses as an avatar. He is a seller I follow although I have never bought from him.

He has nice rare stuff that is absurdly overpriced but I guess people eventually buy it.

Yeah he is a real addition to the club. Keeping all these parts on the shelf, hoping someday somebody finally will let themself be ripped off. Must have an interesting DSM profile this one. I wouldn't buy from him even if he had the last part in the world.

I realize who he is, he's been around for years, peddling parts supposedly from a building of wrecked low mileage Crx's he came across.
He has a whole story about the buildings along with pics, but never discloses where it actually is.

I also think he has an inside somewhere in Europe with someone who has access to all these supposed NOS parts from warehouses over there, but that is just speculation. I've never seen so many "rare, NOS" parts pop up.

What?
Nearly $1450.00 for a full 6 pc set of side moldings, that's not a good deal?

Insane uh?

But everybody can stop dreaming about those euro warehouses. They are just as dried up since a year of five. Before new SiR bumpers only costed like 200 bucks...

[crud], I sold all my bnib parts for way too cheap. I guess I should have kept them a few more years.

Well something doesn't shake out right, he has way too many "rare" new parts coming in and for being so rare, parts seem to come in pretty often.

I thought the same lol, happy i had some extra parts in storage. But crap if I had all the stuff I had 3 years ago when I was importing I could have sold them at 3-4 times the cost.

A couple of years ago, a person was telling me that these parts are still being made and stored in the big Honda parts warehouse in CA and could be ordered through a specific Honda parts dealer. I forgot the name.
