Ridiculous Things you've fit in the crx...

Postby ef yu » Thu Aug 11, 2016 12:29 am

Just curious to what have people put in their CRX? I've stuffed a front bumper before. Wasn't comfortable for the passenger but i had to make do with what i had. What are some of the things you guys have done? If you have pictures, post them!

6 piece drum set and a bmx bike.

6 grown dudes, had them line up head to toe like sardines in the back and two in the front (this was without rear interior)

a 10" Newtonian Telescope and its base, camping equipment and cooler, tent, stove chairs all for a 5 night trip. removed the passenger seat to fit it all in. The car was completely full. These pics are from 2006 before i did a total restoration on the CRX. Ive also used it to transport pushmowers which fir in easily, 10 foot long 2X4's sticking out the back by only 2 feet and so much other stuff people doubted I could shove in there but because it is a hatch and one can remove the passenger seat you can fit more stuff into one of these cars than most any sedan

"46 TV still in the box. Now that was tight! Obviously had to remove the passenger seat to get it in. Literally stared at the TV in the store for about 20min eyeballing it up. Didn't want to buy it and then not be able to fit it in. Plus it was raining...

Another 6 piece drum set here plus hardware. Also on another occasion a weight bench/set. She was squatting pretty bad from the weight. On another occasion a transmission.

gasoline operated Soil Plate Compactor + passenger
got it in with a fork lift, got it out with an engine hoist.
opposite process when returned.
no damage whatsoever to the car.

I ended up sqeezing in a 44ish" TV in box to the back. Had to move the seats all the way up, even had a passenger.

I think I still have back issues from that drive.

^^^ Who it this trader?????

In my old EG HB I fit two del Sol hoods. On a different trips with rear seats removed I fit 9 or 10 transmissions.

EF HB is still the easiest to load though....well I haven't had a EF Wagon to try out yet :)

I've had camping equipment + deep sea finishing gear on a small trip. Also had the Christmas tree stuffed inside one year hanging out the back!

I can't be the only one who has transported a couch in my 1'st gen.

Hey, we were moving.

Only rented a UHaul for the final day.

I had a couch and a bed in my second gen, not at the same time though.

I have had a mountain bike on one occasion. On another occasion, I had virtually all of my belongings in boxes in the back when I was moving after my divorce.

Otherwise, I try not to carry too much in the old girl as I understand that they are not designed to hold a crud ton of weight. Or, at least the HFs aren't.
