If someone wants a CRX right now, it could be found in minutes on facebook. Quality... now that might be harder but still available.

The days of selling on CL or forums are mostly gone. It's so much easier to join a large FB sale group (or 3) to find the specific parts or cars. You can post a request and the people who do have what you're looking for can speak up.

with forum traffic moving to FecesBook, there has been more bad deals and such happening, item not as described, not as pictured, etc.

That said through a certain forum, which shall not be named, you can find some cars that are decent, even listed on BaT.

Crx prices seem to have skyrocketed for a clean car.

What's the going price for a non rusty crx these days with normal mileage?

I saw the y49 listing in the classifieds here for 6k. Seems very pricey, however I do under stand it was taken care or.

Thoughts?

I thought prices have been dropping with the drop in gas prices.
At least it seems that way up here in WA State.
Of course you need to wait for a good deal, rust free, low miles.

"Normal" mileage for CRXs are >170k miles. It really depends on where you live and how far you're willing to drive to buy.

$10k for a pristine CRX Si with 100k miles has happened more than once.

there was a red one here SHOW super clean with a green valve cover. that one went for 13K here.
there was a white one last year with b18c1 bared for 7K and that was clean, not show clean but clean.
There was also a red one here that is clean too, and it was about 7k.

So i would say a clean street driving one is 6-7k and a show clean are about 13-14k.

I think nearly $8k is pricey for a b16 swapped car with 160k on it.
It is nice, looks solid, complete and well taken care of (non smoker is a +), but not $8k nice.
I'd offer $6k without the wheels, though I see he has it listed for $6900 without the wheels.

yes i agree 6k for a clean street crx. and 13K for a show clean crx.

I think both prices are worth it. Because if you purchase a semi clean one for 4k, you'll spend much more than 2K more to get it clean. same with a show clean crx for 13K. People selling a show car for 13k spent way more on it than just 13K. but sometimes people do it for a hobby and don't count their own labor involved.

I've seen an imported, garage-kept glass-top SiR for $10k. Any less quality for that price or any higher price for that quality is unacceptable.

Here is a super clean crx 88 si. 88 is a real light weight model even for a si. looks like nothing has been touched by looking at the hood insulator and rear spare rubber padding. 6k though. Maybe 5k would be more ideal?

That's not bad. I'd offer 4.5k cash and see what he says.

The problem with asking too high for these cars is that the car isn't worth that much to the bank, is you can't get a loan. Cash is king.

oh yea blue book is like 1500.
however if he register it under historian car and then get it appraised on paper, then it could possibly be 4-5k
