Looked at turbo kits for it. Really getting the itch to tear into this car again.

Put old clutch cable back in, car is better than before.

Transmission is wore out though, but I know a guy that can fix it up, as soon as I get caught up!

Just picked up my tb and sent it along to Maxbore. These old throttle bodies sure are odd looking. Hoping to clear up the idle issue and pick up a couple of hp along the way.

Whew, what didn't I do. Took it to work so I could completely go over it in prep for race day coming up. Wanted to see if anything need replaced or repaired.

- Tightened the front sub-frame (Stiff motor mounts like to loosen everything up)
- Tightened front cross-member bolts for the same reason.
- Measured RTA bushings so I can order the correct ones. (DA or EF)
- Adjusted shift linkage underneath the car, had a little slack.
- Adjusted the clutch cable, not sure why it took me so long to get that done.
- Set tire psi
- Re-set up the suspension (front/rear) on the alignment rack, didn't realize how far off it was. So glad I bought the Hardrace rear camber kit which made it adjustable. Car now drives so much better.
- Washed entire car and cleaned the wheels.
- Hit VTEC.

It was a good day. :-)b

Then about kicked it when i realized everything is closed and i cant get replacement bolts yet......

Put in a set of new Maxpow hatch struts ($20 Amazon). But like everything these days with owning a 27 year old car I'd long ago replaced the originals with replacements that used two ball ends. I couldn't find the original mounting hardware anywhere - in my Honda bolt, screw, etc coffee can or my local junkyards. So I went to my local dealer and for a mere $48 I got the two bolts and two plastic end covers (after a week for them to get them).

Change Oil and Transmission on my 88 Si.

Used Mobil1 5W30 for engine and Valvoline High Performance Conventional 10W30 for Transmission (skip the Honda MTL per Mista Bone).

Cleaned the garage out enough so I can actually roll the poor thing out at some point.

...Going to need some 88 "Style" drivers side seat rails. Mine are rusted solid from a previous sunroof leak.

Did an unintentional flush of my motor when I accidentally botched an oil change on Monday (forgot to check to see if the old gasket from the old filter had stuck to the threads).

Also, this morning I sprayed some dry lube into my ignition. Last night the tumbler decided to start being insanely hard to turn. Easy fix, lol.

Next up: brakes, cv joint, and replacing exhaust.

Got the throttle body back from Maxbore last night - look how pretty! You could eat off it. Dropped it off at the shop this morning - now have to get it installed, have them fix the awful exhaust job that was previously done to get the dual tips to line up correctly, and hopefully the idle is fixed, I've added a couple of hp, and I can drive it longer than 5 minutes for the first time this year. :burnout:

LOL. You're persistent! :P

Yep, it's penciled in for Nov; assuming the car runs great, just would have to get a Schroth and nail it in.

Took it by a buddy's shop and got the AC recharged. He even replaced the valve in the low pressure side. Result? Ice cold AC.

Kind of annoyed with my work... The parking lot has been compromised lately and I just do have it in me to bring the CRX and park it. (e.g. F250 and Tahoe were "misplaced" and never returned).

Yessir, we have to establish that dominating CRX presence on track day!

Stopped by the shop; Maxbore's TB is in, and idle is now fine. :bounce:

They sent the car off to the exhaust shop to fix the nasty install that had been done. Then it should be all ok to pick up and drive again, probably next week. :burnout: :)

It's at "KC's Kustoms Exhaust Shop"; with a name like that, you know it's got to be good! :rolleyes1:

They do actually get very good reviews, though the owner is a total douchebag. If they can get the exhaust to look normal, I can deal with the attitude.

Yes, if they can get it to look like what you want... its all downhill from there... Good luck!

Grab some of my pics as reference pics IF that would help?
