Made an attempt to pick up the car today. Paid for all of the work (ouchie!! :faint: ), but Odyssey was drained. I have an issue somewhere. So will pick it up tomorrow after my other battery is fully charged tonight.

I have to say that KC did a great job - looks like I bought the exhaust this way:

I'm impressed. Hoping to enjoy driving the car a bit next week, though of course, it's quarter end at work, so won't be able to play around too much with it. Have to put on several things and clean it up thoroughly before the EF meet on Oct 22.

Looks much better! :-)b You appear to be happy with the results.

What do you think is killing the battery?

Drove it back to the parking lot this morning after I trickle charged the one PC680 (one wouldn't even charge at this point - I guess too much charging over the years). Drove great, but the idle was a bit high (ICV?). I don't really know what the problem with the electrical system is - I'd assume a draw somewhere. I do think that I'll ditch the girly man battery, though - the PC1200 looks like it would make more sense, the mount would probably be pretty easy to switch over, and the terminals can use the same wingnuts that I've been using on the 680 and like.

I still have to break in the ceramic coating on the exhaust - needs an hour of continual idling to bake it completely. Will probably do that tomorrow night and fiddle with things. But if the electric draw is not something easy to identify, like the alarm, I'll have to do a deeper investigation.

You didn't end up using that Thermal Research exhaust?

Don't send me a letter bomb yet. If you go through this thread, I did what AZ had done with his car (so it's really his fault, not mine!) - had the Thermal's tip hacked and got a dual tip MagnaFlow welded on. I like it better, but it's still your exhaust, just with a lower key non-grapefruit shooter.

Got these in the mail today. My Mugen pedals slip too much especially with wet Oregon feet.

What I'll be doing tomorrow. Took about a month to get made but it seems like it was worth it.

Work let up a little and I was able to leave in daylight, so I was finally able to cure the ceramic coating on my exhaust. And only 3 months and about 10 miles on the odo since, but better late than never. Took an hour of idling in the parking garage, luckily on the 3rd floor where I didn't see anyone.

While it was doing that, I swapped out the lugnuts to Muteki SR48s in neochrome (gotta have some bling on a black car), verified that the base of the steel battery frame from West Coast Batteries is the same for the Odyssey PC1200 as it is for the PC680, and got in a couple of rounds of Temple Run 2 to close things out.

Current line of thinking is that I leave the car as is, with the slightly high idle (about 1050, when the Bisi cams aren't making it a bit lumpy), and do a battery disconnect when the car's not running. The voltage didn't drop at all during the hour, so that makes it a pretty good sign to me. And will keep the P1200 in the car as well as a back up, for driving to/from the PA meet next week, then decide if I want to try to understand the battery drain and high idle this year, or put it away for the winter and deal with it next year. We'll see how lazy I feel...

Replace the hood cable, should have been done years ago. Worst part is, I've had a replacement cable for the last 4+ years... Also removed the washer bottle and lines, trying to clean the bay up a little more. Threaded in a bolt/washer combo for my Odyssey battery positive cable, kinda had it vibrate off last time I drove. 85A motor mounts LOVE to vibrate things loose... Cleaned the wheels and checked tire psi.

Almost ready for track day Nov. 11th!!

Sorry, I don't go in that forum often. I was hoping it was track and not cone-dodging. Personally I am not a fan of cone-dodging.

Me either. But you sir, are in luck. It IS an actual track, I'm not a fan of the whole cone thing either. It's at the New Jersey Motorsports Park. I'll send you a FB invite.

This is a rear shot from my last run of the day. That's a SRT8 Challenger behind me

Very cool video! Thanks for sharing! :-)b

What were your lap times compared to the SRT8? Looks like a very fun day!

Honestly, I'm not sure. There were a total of 4 runs with the first 2 (for me at least) were spent trying to find shifting points, the racing line and all that. I've never pushed the car that hard and that in itself was a whole new experience. The next time we go I'll pay more attention to the track times.

If you've ever worked to improve your car, you NEED to do this. It is so unbelievably fun!!

The racing lines aren't near what you would think they are your first time on the track. I had a pretty rude awakening my first time out. Once I got an offtrack excursion out of the way, the guy with me put me on the right track. Funny thing is, sometimes the fastest way around the track is the longest way.
Glad to see you had an awesome time. :-)b

Yeah I had a few moments I thought I was going off, I think a rear sway bar is in order soon. Way more fun than drag racing that's for sure!
