There's more of us around than you'd think. Although I might be *primarily* a 2G guy these days, I've still got my first CRX - an '87 Si. She's hibernating, still, just patiently waiting for the day I have both money AND time to spend on her.

And I know for a fact that Scott (cbstd) is a hardcore diehard first-genner.

This is what my '87 Si looks like when it gets dressed up for the Japanese Classic Car Show.

While I might be hardcore Kwicko (Mike) is definitely Old School, rocking an Opel GT back in the day.

Good eye....performed the pan swap so they bolt in straight and secure.

I like the look of the first gens more than the seconds. Are they harder to swap?

In one word: Yes

In multiple words: It depends on your experience/knowledge, and the specific swap you are doing.

Welcome. Very nice car!

What is the history of your car, how long have you owned it, where did you buy it?

Those are some sweet Stramns!

Heres my 85 Si. Just bought it at the end of December.

Image

And here it is now
Image

When I got it, it didnt run, sat for god nows how long, mice nests everywhere, broken panhard bar, and damage to front drivers side.

Now it runs (not perfect yet but getting there), pan hard bar fixed, all mice nests now gone, and many rust spots patched and paint(but many more still in need of TLC).
