I wouldn't know, I hate the Amish.

And the Amish hate us English folk.
I got a new shell, just need to stop driving the DX so I can work on it.

I've got a filter for my mouth, it just isn't a good one.

Being that I grew up in "Amish" country, the common misconception is that Amish are a good, wholesome people. I'm not going to get into why they aren't. There's actually a lot of people around me (older people as well) that don't like them for who they really are.

My son who is involved in Health Care, says they can be difficult patients. To me the fact that by in large they are poorly educated, not even reaching high school level, probably plays a role. From what I have seen in documentaries, the kids are not prepared for life away from the group, and they are ostracized by their families if they leave. They treat their horses like farm implements, but this is the reality of farming with horses. They are great at training horses to pull wagons, but I don't know what methods they use. We have a Haflinger that is very well trained by the Amish but bears scars from previous poor treatment. Who knows, that is just anecdotal. Also don't get me started on the puppy mills they run. Sad.

Just got my passport book the other day, surprisingly it didn't take as long as I thought it would. Maybe a couple weeks not even expedited.

They're quicker in winter months; it's the Apr - Jun rush that's more problematic.

Good to know, I'll have to remember that in 10 years when I renew it.

I have to plan for the July 2018 meet unfortunately. I won't be able to make it this year.

That's too bad. As I keep telling Ryan, there's always next year to make an appearance. :)
