Spring PA EF Meet

Postby Cementups » Thu Jan 28, 2016 4:29 pm

Eric is putting together his annual meet. It will be at Blue Marsh Lake, about 20 minutes north of Reading. About 1.5 hours North West of Philly. Eric's meets always bring a nice crowd.

Yep, was going to post about this too. I'll be there, either in the CRX or the EP3, depending on the state of the CRX at that time. Were you at the original meets at Maple Grove?

No, I never had a chance to go to the Maple Grove meets. I was supposed to go a couple years ago to one and at the last minute the wife cancelled my plans to go out on a date. And then she didn't make plans for the date night so I got to do neither one that night.

Ok, wasn't really looking for the plot twists of "The Real Housewives of Harrisburg", but good to know. :D

Those used to be really good meets of Eric's. Haven't been to any of these newer ones, but it will be good prep for Niagara.

Ryan, are you actually going to make this one?

I'm for sure going, Eric does have a knack for putting together solid meets. I believe I missed the last Maple Grove meet but made the prior one.

My favorite thing about the MG meets was the 1st gens. Wilq and some of the other guys from RPR really had impressive cars.

Yeah they used to show up at the old Sonic meets in Morgantown, PA. They had some VERY clean cars, looked right off the showroom.

What's that mean??? I basically hung with you the whole time last year at FAST so it's not like you didn't know I was there. :P And I was at Hershey for sure. It is only 3 miles from my house.

Yeah, true true. There was one at Long's Park (which is 3 miles from MY house) last year you didn't make. But then again, you kinda got owned by a go-cart so I guess that's a viable excuse! 8)

Yeah, I couldn't make Long's park for some reason. I broke my humerus Labor Day weekend. I'm just going back to work next Monday too. Been off for 5 months. :|

So, anyone else already given up on having their car ready? Too much stuff on the CRX to do, combined with too much planned on the EP3 daily driver, to do both at once. So the DD has to come first. I should have the CRX ready for Niagara, though. And yes, I did say that last year, too.

I was thinking the same thing.

You could just drive the EP3 up, wouldn't be quite as fun but Eric's meets are always worth the drive. :-)b

Mine is ready enough. Just pull it out of the garage and put her in gear.

Oh yes, I'll be driving the EP3 over, definitely. :burnout:

Need to find out the best way to mount OEM fogs and some other stuff that it would be much easier to find out the wiring info on rather than butchering things up myself. Then I can tick those off my to do list before Niagara.

I'm really hoping the stars align so I can bring this thing, it hasn't been on the road for over 2 years

Same here, just needs washed. Except I finally pulled the trigger and will be dropping my battery down to the frame rail before this meet. I'm so tired of that ugly ass SRI and battery combo I've used since the swap. Need to bling up the bay a bit more..

All the info you need is in this thread. I don't go to many meets, but I always make it out to these. It's not your typical Hondaboi rice fest. There's always some well built and clean cars at Eric's events. It would def be worth the trip.

Pre-meet cruise from Sinking Spring to the meet site, leaving at 11:15. It's all on the FB posts.

Where is Sinking Spring? If the facebook link in this thread worked that would help
