USELESS REPLIES AND FLAMING

Postby downest » Sun Dec 21, 2008 10:06 pm

I'm cleaning up the classifieds because the useless comments in some of these threads is getting irritating. This isn't a place to flame people, question their selling price, or just outright post whore. If you are posting in a thread you should be doing one of the following:

1. Selling something
2. Buying something
3. Looking to sell something
4. Looking to buy something

If you don't intend to buy something, or sell something, there is no reason to get into people's threads and harass them about price. I'm not going to send people PMs when I delete their posts any more, it will just get deleted. This is a problem MOSTLY with older more established members who should know better.

Hi. ^_^

Let me start off by saying that I've seen some threads get out of hand and I can totally understand deleting abusive posts. Yeah, okay, posting competing offers in a seller's thread is pretty obnoxious, but does benefit the community by encouraging competitive pricing and/or by forcing the seller to defend their price (superior product, service or whatever). I don't see any problem with such posts in a buyer's thread... It may be stepping on the toes of other users trying to sell their stuff, but again, it benefits the community and the thread owner in particular.
