Just pick this 1989 CRX for free last week! With some info on this site I got it running a couple days ago (fuel pump main relay) It needs a lot of attention...most likely it will be fixed up little by little and used as a DD and commuter. The wheels are a bit too big in my opinion, looks like maybe the water pump is leaking and something from the opposite side of engine... let the fun begin!

Can't beat free!

Congrats. Yeah, those meshies are too big for the car, I'd agree. But you can always sell them to reduce the price of a new set of proper rims. Good luck with the repairs.

Got some new rims off Craigslist. I thought they were Si wheels, but after researching i'm finding they may be from a 1990 Integra? They are marked 14x5 1/2 and say Honda Motor Company on em. Anyone wanna share some insight? I'll need to find some center caps too...

Also, installed a new water pump, tensioner, and timing belt. Next up is oil pan gasket and some spark plug tube seals.

Damn, I need those Integra wheels. If we were close I could offer you a trade. Especially if you also got the center caps. I have a set of 88-89 saw blades with winter tires sitting in the garage doing nothing.

OEM is so last year. Why wouldn't you go aftermarket for lighter and less blast from the past 80s wheels for your new hooptie?

The car is all OEM and minty. I'd prefer to keep it that way.

So Jealous! I want to get a CRX but don't have the $ for it and my parents don't want me selling my car at the moment to buy one... where were you able to score it for free?

My friend got offered the car but he had no room for it. I just replaced the cat and got new tires 185/60r14. Also, today painted the window trim. Here is the most recent picture I have. Next I'm thinking a cheap spray gun paint job with Rustoleum Sunrise Red.
