It is destiny; I should've known after the first sale went sour that the car was meant to stay. I've got a ton of pictures from putting the drivetrain together that I will try and upload today.

Looking forward to the build, too. Will be fun to watch. Well, until you then sell it, of course.

Over a year later and it's still not running. Major life change and moved back to IL from TX to be closer to family for the next few years as I raise the kids. The CRX made the trip.

Its a marathon, not a sprint. Glad to see you still have the CRX.

Family is one of those things that you will pack up and move for. All my immediate family is still here in the Chicago area so it only made sense to come back when baby #3 arrived in April.

It was nice to cash in on the equity. The Dallas area is absolutely booming.

Niagra sounds like it could be a fun trip; I've never been.

So back in June of 2016 I made the move back to the Chicagoland area. I flew 4 friends down and we drove 3X 20' U-Hauls, trailored my CRX and TL, and one friend drove my Pilot. One of the best memories I will have in my lifetime; it was a blast.

I ended up renting a townhome for 3 months while we looked for a house. Here's a couple shots shortly after arriving in IL. Nothing much happened to the CRX other than cleaning all the dust it accumulated as we traveled.

This is at a rest stop in Missouri:

New temporary home:

One of the first things I did was clean the engine bay.....with a Swiffer duster lol

When we left Texas I didn't have a job. After a few interviews I picked the job with the best commute for the area we wanted to be in and we bought a house. Just like in Texas, narrowed the search pretty quickly when you make a 3 car garage mandatory.

Image

Finally moved in late August. I can say that moving is THE most stressful event I've had in my life. I packed everything myself with the help of friends and family, and in the future I will definitely spend the money to have professionals do it.

Image

Yeah I have a lot of crap; the basement is packed too.

And I will leave you with the money shot. This was the first time I actually opened the hood of the car in the new garage. A special moment.

Cool. I'm with you on the whole hiring professional movers thing - I'll never do it myself again. :x Though long-distance roadtrips are pretty fun.

Time to update signature and profile for de-texasing.

Congratulations on the new addition! Welcome to the 3 kid club! :-)b

Great pics. House looks great. Yes, 3-car garage is the way to go if you can spring for it. Moving does suck. Last move we did was about a 5-10 min commute and it ranks up there with something I do not want to do ever again. And we had professional movers. Can only imagine moving everything you own over state lines. A lot of work.
