She's not on the road yet. That would be fun to go out and do once I can drive it. Just let me know when you guys have some meet ups. I'll try my hardest to make it to them

Got my intake in today and installed it. Next I'll be working on relocating my battery, no its not going in the back. I dont want all the battery gases in my car even with the battery box. I think I will order the PW: JDM relocator. Yeah its a lot of money but I like it.

I'm having problems. I went to get the car inspected and randomly my turn signals and reverse lights stopped working. I changed the fuse and it didnt work so i kept the turn signal on and wiggled the fuse and is started to work. My passenger side signals are normal but the drivers side front and rear signal are clicking fast. Like the lights are going out but if i remember right they werent doing that before.

Also my guages are not working none except the speedo. I recently put a new speedo cable in. But before that it would have its days were they would all work. Then the next day they wouldnt.

I need help with these 2 problems ASAP

signal lights usually only click fast if one of them is out. May need new bulbs.

I took my car out to our Tech Center that my high school has, to figure some things out. I go there for Automotive Technology so its easy to get my car in and work on it. I've worked on some pretty cool cars out there. I think the coolest would be a 1971 VW Camper/Bus. I also was able to fully rebuild a 2jz-gte engine which was pretty cool!

I got a new light for my turn signal since it has been blinking really fast. Turned out to be that the connector was corroded VERY badly. But its still blinking at the corner light on the drivers side and on the passenger side its just the turn signal blinking.

Also the battery is being drained and not holding charge. Hooked the voltmeter up and read 12.6V like it should when the engine is off turned it on and the volts did not go up like it should. So I will be testing alternator tomorrow.

Still nothing at the cluster looked at the engine connections and there 3-5 that have no plugs.

Changed the tranny fluid :-)b

Some help would be Nice

Fixed the cluster ended up being the connector that connects into the cluster was just unplugged.

Fixed the battery/alternator problem. The wires were switched where the battery wire and alternator wire go on the main fuse box.

Havent posted anything in awhile. Sorry! Not much has been going on, just school and crap like that. I got accepted to UNOH to go to school to be a Automotive-High Performance Technician :D. How cool is that?

But onto the car! What you guys want and not my life story.

Well first my girlfriend bought me a very nice shift boot for my birthday which I finally turned 18! So I bought the password JDM shift extender and a Skunk 2 weight shift knob which I love. Highly recommend.

This is how it all looks (Crappy IPhone Pic)

Next my fuse box needed replacing so I bought a new one thanks to hondacrx5spd. Go check out his for sale thread hes very easy to deal with.
Image
While I was doing that I seen a black box. Found a Shock Sensor and all the wires were already cut so I took it out and the rest of the wires.
Image

I also began to put new speakers and head unit in. My dad bought me some for my birthday. They are Infinity Reference 6032si. Ill let you guys know how they are.
QUESTION! What is this? Looks like a snap ring of some sort feel out behind the steering wheel when I was tracing the Shock Sensor wires.

Some goodies!

Hope you like my redneck boot fix :-)b

 not going in the car :(

That ring looks like the ring that helps hold the upper steering column cover to the lower cover. There is a small lip in the covers that it fits into right behind the steering wheel.

Haven't really been doing anything to the car lately. I have just been buying some parts here and there to finish up the Interior. I'm trying to finish it up then move onto the exterior to get it ready for body work and paint. I have a question should I do all the suspension work and everything first then body work and paint or just jump right into the paint? I'm thinking of doing suspension work and tightening the body up first. Some peoples ideas would be great. Here is some pictures of stuff I've got.

I invested in a new hood because mine is bent up a bit.

I'm still missing the other piece. But its better than nothing :D

I would save the paint and bodywork for last. I like my car to drive well first and look good second.

My first video with a GoPro. Really windy. I'll use the skeleton door next time to reduce the wind noise. Also will be filming from the inside. Don't be to harsh I'm new to making videos. :-)b

So today I was changing the oil in the CRX and I seen that both of the axles were shot. I could tell that the drivers side one was in need of replacing but the passenger side has a torn boot and is slinging axle grease everywhere :( . I look to see which transmission I have, just to see if the tranny was swapped when the engine was. The stamp says PL3/9000. As the title says I have a 91 CRX SI. So is this the stock tranny? With the things I have been reading I believe it is the stock tranny but some confirmation would be nice, given that I am new to Hondas.

if axles are shot, take a look at all the bushings and the tie rods as well as the ball joints. may be bad as well, and, from experience, you dont want any of those things going bad on you. i snapped a ball joint while driving. not fun.

So I'm sitting in my dorm bored so I decided to fill you guys in on whats been going on. I sold the 240 because I needed the money for college and some stuff for the car. I completely gutted the interior so I can get it into paint over the winter since it won't be driven any. I took some sound deadening out also, just to get rid of some unwanted weight even though its not much.
Here is what it weighed with one seat and the interior gutted and some sound deadening out.

Everything out

It has been awhile since Ive updated this. Only a few things have happened. I'm low on money atm. Its hard being 19 paying for your own place, and going to school everyday. I will be getting a new roommate and job here soon so the parts should be able to start stacking up. Well thats what I'm hoping lol.

I bought a wink mirror and I LOVE IT. It was hard to get used to but after a 20 min drive its 1000x better than a stock mirror.
Image
Image

I also took it in to get an alignment and I already new the wheel bearing was going out but then they said I needed a new inner tie rod so I bought those. Was wanting to buy both front wheel bearings and all new inner and outer tie rods but then I seen the prices at the dealership and that quickly went out the drain.
Image

I bought some Wipe New so once it warms up I will be applying that. To make everything nice and pretty. The next thing I'm wanting to buy is a J's racing front lip. The replica of course lol

The dry ice is a common method of removing the sound isolation material.

Inner tie rods are on my sooner than later list. How are your bellows (boots)?
