It's been really slow since I've started this post. But it's starting to come along nicely

As long as you are still enjoying it, that is all that matters.

This is a marathon, not a sprint. :-)b

Loving every second of it! My bank account not so much.

I'm hoping to have out for my first track day by the time I'm 22 lmao.

Just ordered everything to rebuild my steering rack. New bushing and inner/outer tie rods, so hopefully this weekend I can have the rack back together and then I can start throwing the front end back together. One step closer! And I figured I'd show you guys what I did to my daily.
Lowered and some BBS LM reps

Ready to go to paint! Now to find a shop that won't take a month to do it.

Put a few coats of paint on the transmission!

Now to get the engine ready for the same treatment

Thanks man! I get OCD about this stuff. I know nobody will ever see half of it but I know it's there and done right.

Thanks my man! It is definitely worth the money to do it! A lot went on today, a head gasket and timing belt job turned into a full rebuild. When we took apart on of the Pistons was seized (side to side motion, not up and down) so figure the rings were locked up. And we were right 2 Pistons had locked oil rings. Other one all of them were. Not damage to the walls thankfully.

A few updates but no pictures. Sorry! Car is still at the paint shop, I have no idea when it will be done(a few months now for just a engine bay). Also heard back from the machine shop the Z6 needs bored out so here's where I need some guidance. Should I do a NA build with the Z6 or buy a B16 and be get it over with? If I were to do a mild NA build I'd go:
PG6 pistons
Stock rods(need to do research and maybe get better ones)
Skunk 2 Intake Mani (Have already)
Skunk 2 TB I think they are 68MM
Stock Head(unless it fails pressure testing)
I don't wanna go all out on a D series build unless I was going FI. Which I don't think that's the way I wanna go.

I can tell you from experience that a b16 "feels" heavier up front than a d16. however, the b16 feels EXACTLY like the D16 from 1k-5k rpm. The only fun part with a B16 is pass 5k and ask yourself, how many times in a day do you go pass that?

I was in a similar dilemma, where i could go b series and call it done but instead i stuck with a D series and did all motor. high comp, bored .20 over, lighten flywheel/pulley, high-rate valve springs, and a mild weber cam shaft. Of all that money i spent on it, i could have gotten a pretty gsr for it but i stuck with the idea of when/if i beat other people with a SOHC id get the face " :yuck: ". none the less, it didnt work out, the A6 could only go so much before it detonated (no tune).

In the end, i bought a B16 + S1 cable trans and never looked back into a d-series.

After looking at some prices I will stick to the NA build.
• PG6 Pistons (have)
• Stock Connecting Rods resized for ARP bolts
• ARP rod bolts (have)
• Stock head unless it fails
• All new OEM gaskets (have most)
• OEM oil pump, water pump, etc (have most)
• Timing belt (have)
• Skunk 2 Intake+TB (need the TB)
• CAI of some sort (may go with stock because I love the way they look in a tucked bay)
• DC 4-2-1 Header (have)
• R&D exhaust (have)
• OBD1 injectors to be done with the OBD1 swap
• Tuned on crome
• Hasport Mounts

Picked these up for $120 locally! A set of 75.5mm PG6 pistons, got lucky on finding these. Image
A set of coaster AFH sent me with an order awhile back, peep that perfect climate control I picked up for $100!

Good luck on it all! I should have the car back in the next few weeks, dropping stuff off this Friday to the machine shop to get that all done so I can put my engine back together. The plan is to abuse this motor at the track/Autocross/Touge runs etc. Then it'll be time to put on my big boy pants and go B or K series [emoji848]

I try to wait to do big updates but I just get to excited to share my progress with you guys!
First I got my engine back from the machine shop
Image
Then I proceeded to throw some engine paint on it to make it look better
Image
As I was driving to pick up some papers form work my buddy who works at the body shop where my car is sends me this!
Image
Image
You can definitely say that I'm pretty excited!! [emoji16]. Will be ordering everything to rebuild my engine soon, I just got laid off from work and am drawing low income until work picks back up.

Little update for you guys. Just ordered everything to rebuild my engine. Progress has been slow, still a lot of little things to do that's taking me forever. Here is some progress pics.
Finally back in the garage!
Image
Suspension all put back together and looking pretty
Image
Here it sits as if right now.
Image
And decided to spruce up the Intake manifold I bought, I took this picture right after I dropped it lol. I have repainted it so there is no chips
Image
On a side note I'm really digging the downstar bolts
Image

That's everything for now really. Engine should be put back together in a week when I get my parts in.

Finally an update! I'm pretty excited to get her back on the ground in the next week or two. Well then it's time for the rear to be put up and everything rebuilt back there. Anyways here's some pictures,
First I installed my innovative traction bar
Image
Then rebuilt my calipers and was able to throw my rotors and pads on
Image
Image

I am running Hawk HPS pads and Brake performance rotors. They come with a coating to protect the non contact parts from rusting. I've been running them on my Audi for over a year and not one spot of rust has showed up on them, they sell every type of rotor (slotted, dimpled, drilled) so go check them out!

Never really update you guys anymore. So here is what has been going on lol.

Well first things first. Picked up a Cressida for a drift build which I'll be starting when my Audi sells.
Image

And I got a new Daily. 2011 GTI, Stage 1 and a CAI
Image

Back to the CRX. Got the engine together and back into the car! Finally!!

Getting it out together.
Image

All finished up.
Image

Went with CC lightened flywheel and Exedy stage 1 clutch.
Image

Finally back into the car after months and months!!
Image

How it's sitting as of the other week. Currently have the radiator and a few other things installed
Image

I was gonna run the chase bays fuel line kit. But decided I didn't want a clamp at my fuel feed. So I went with the Radium fitting that bolts straight to your existing nut. Image

Oh and here ya go
Image

Rear suspension will be started on in the next few months and won't take near as long as the front end has. So expect an update around then lol.
