The day I brought it home. Traded my 91 Accord and I got some cash and an extra set of wheels on top!

Then the engine blew up, so I picked up a fresh d16a6 for 300 bucks with the transmission. the motor only had 90k but we decided to rebuild it anyway. New rings, new bearings, just the basics. Threw on some new NGK plugs and wires and a fresh fuel rail and she was ready to go again!

I had some motegi wheels with brand new tires on them, they were waaaay too big but I put them on anyway. I was young and naive...

I got pretty tired of my flying car and 22s so I bought some ground controls and stagg struts and picked up a beat up set of enkei 92s with new tires for eighty bucks!

As you can tell, someone had painted over the enkeis about a thousand times and ruined the original polished aluminum lip. I spent hours stripping all the damn spray paint that had ruined these wheels and did my best to restore them to their former glory. They aren't great, but way better than before!

My old exhaust was janky as hell, so I did some searching and decided to get a full exhaust off ebay. I have heard a lot of arguing about these but honestly it has been really great. It sounds great, it isn't super ricey, it looks good (as long as you are semi-proficient with a welder) and it is definitely a noticeable performance gain. Great value for the price. '

School started back up again, so I couldn't do much for the crx for awhile, but then summer came around and I got right back to work!
Picked up some new full amber corner and bumper lights, all new mudguards, new tail lights from a 91si, some dr20 knock-offs, a new roof rack, and I finally got it painted! I have read a lot about Maaco paint jobs, and I decided I would give them a try. I ended up paying a total of $500 and I could not be happier! Maaco did an amazing job!

I loved the look of my dr20s, but the offset got pretty annoying and made it damn near impossible to corner. I managed to find a clean set of rota slipstreams, and now she handles like she's built to!

No overspray or tape marks?
I assume your car didn't have any rot/rust issues?

There was a little bit of overspray on the trim, but it was all barely noticeable, plus, I repainted all the trim a few weeks after I got the car back.

There were a couple small rust spots and dents, but i made sure to fix them all before i took it in. If you are going to go the maaco route, make sure that you do all the prep work first. If you do it right, it is very hard for them to screw up.

So, it's been a while since I posted any updates. I had to go back to school so I had to leave my CRX back home for a while. But, I am finally getting it back in two days! I decided to mini-me swap it with a z6 head on my fresh a6 block. The head was fresh from the machine shop when I got it, but I decided to throw a Comp Zex cam in it while I had the opportunity.
I also experienced my first bad part experience. The xtd clutch and flywheel setup was about 1/16th of an inch too shallow to fit square on the crank, so I ended up having to buy an entirely new setup. Overall, I could not be more excited!!
