Intermittent wiper not working

Postby haluska » Fri Apr 07, 2017 11:16 am

On my 1990 DX the intermittent wiper doesn't seem to work any more. When I turn it to it wipes once then doesn't go on again. I was thinking it might be a relay somewhere. Anybody have this happen before?

Sounds like a defective ICU. The intermittent wiper control circuits are there.

Hmmm, just found out that my intermittent doesn't even get that one wipe.

And ICU is discontinued. What then - junkyards and classifieds?

Yes, but another option with a bad ICU is to find someone comfortable with circuit board repair.

When I take the current one off, I'll look into that as a back-up. Just bought an entire fuse box with the ICU attached on the bay, so I'll get to this eventually. Thanks for the timely information in this thread. :-)b
