ELD error code

Postby THEirltfg » Mon May 01, 2017 11:36 pm

My check engine light was on and I hooked up my computer to it to see what the code was. It was throwing the ELD error. I have a 90 CRX JDM B16A swapped with a P28 ECU. I've been looking around for answers and have a few things I'm going to try. I'm going to check the alternator and starter connections tomorrow just to make sure nothing is loose. From what I've gathered though is that I may be getting the error because I have a JDM engine with a USDM ECU. I think I've read that only USDM cars have ELD so since I have a JDM engine it doesn't have ELD.

Any suggestions or does that sound correct on why it could possibly be throwing that error?

p28 with stock b16a1 map right?
its common problem- don't worry your alternator if everything was ok before.
yes thats could be a problem but you can socket your p28 and get a basemap with eld diasbled.

Chipped p28 obd1 with JDM b16a. The ones that came in the SIR. So if I just disable it everything will still be fine?
