I'm sure this has been corrected already, but 90 to 91 HF's have a 10.6 gallon tank, which is 9.9 Imperial gallons.

Original post corrected, per 1990 Owners manual, 10.6 US gal / 8.8 Imperial gal.

jimwww wrote:I only knew that there was a model that was an HF (knew I did not have that) and the SI - I have never heard of a DX before - I thought that was only in the Civic hatchback. Unfortunately any place I have gone to about CRX's do not have a great FAQ and specifications list on the car. Most forums have that.
Like this:
http://jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39873

I have not even found a list of what all the engine codes mean.. this b engine etc.

It has been 18 years since I test drove the car and I have never owned one before. I have never seen a designation on the car say DX either.

Anyway.. thanks for the info - now I know.

I know this was from a while ago but I found a forum with the engine codes in case anybody else is having problems

Yes.

You match the door panel to the seat belt style.

Read the info, decide for yourself.
It's definitely not the top of the line.

"Top of the line" is more of an opinion than a fact.

"Top of the line" defined as, the best (most expensive) in a given line of merchandise or brand of vehicles sold by a manufacturer, usually within a range of models, which can differ in sizes, capabilities or available options.

Honda marketed and manufactured the Si to be the most expensive and include the most options, hence falling right in line with the definition.

I am unsure where I found this, but this site pretty much has a lot of interior parts.

Most if not all items are discontinued and a lot of the online Honda parts dealers list the parts, actually having them is a different story, which is why it is best to call and confirm that the part is available.

This list refers to US models.
But no, not on cars this side of the world.
It was available on cars available in Europe and Japan.

After reading this entire thread I'm convinced I have a "Frankinrex"!

I have an 89 HF.
The front bumper looks like the 90-91.
It has:AC, Passenger side mirror & Timer on rear defrost.

It's really no big deal, especially since the car is nearing 25 yrs old and has had a few owners.
Unless you're telling us you are the original owner and purchased the car this way new. If that's the case the AC, mirror and timer are a non issue.

-Bumper cover can be easily swapped at one time or another.
-All model Crx's were available with AC, some got it, some didn't.
-Passenger mirror could have easily been added along the way, either by the owner or the dealership.
-As far as I know, the timed rear defrost was standard.

Just curious, as this is all good info and all, but I was wondering if any interior bits between 88-91 crx and 88-91 civics (coupe/hatch) are interchangeable???
Also, you said the 88-89 CRX DX had a D15B2 engine. Mine says D15B1... Is there a difference? The car has 290k on it, though apparently the engine only has 100k. So maybe it's an engine out of a different Civic?

Edit: Uggg.. Just looked it up. It came from an 88-91 civic hatchback.. only has 70hp... no wonder my crx seems so underpowered compared to a different DX I drove. Oh well... I'll live I guess.

2.I didn't say 88-89, it's 88-91.

Has it been noted that the 88-89 "NH83L Off-black" interior is different than the 90-91 "NH167L Graphite Black" interior?

The pieces from the 88-89 seem to have a greenish tint to them while 90-91 have a bluish tint. I know cause I put a 90-91 dashboard in my 89 and it doesn't match.
