1989: 160 horses from a 1.6. 2016: 160 horses from a 2 liter.
What an improvement.

-158hp from a 2.0? Not breaking news
-16" wheels, ok?
-Rear back up cam, meh.
-60/40 split rear seats, is this really a big deal anymore?
-LED DRL's, no thank you.
-Auto headlights, see previous statement.
-LCD audio screen, alright.
-Elec parking brake , would rather have a manual cable.

I think that cars today are marketed like iPods. All this nonsense but nobody goes about how well the car, as a vehicle, actually is.
I can have bluetooth, satnav and all jazz in my 91 Honda at 10% of the cost of those modern 'optional packages'.
If Honda fitted an integrated, unseperable board computer as part of the CRX we would still be looking at C64 graphics on a CRT and an analog carphone only good for calling 911. Behold the future of modern day cars :)

Skip the Civic and go right for the Accord coupe V6 with 6spd manual.

The aftermarket analog carphone in my HF won't even dial 911. We turned off the analog network in the states years ago. I think half the kids looking at my car are more excited about the carphone and the cassette player than the car itself.

I do miss my C64, though.

Oh, and electric parking brake switch. Once again, technology without an improvement in driving. :frusty:

The future sucks.
