Local dealership has one of the parts counter guys working as a bomb technician. Since the air bags require UPS ground ORM-D labeling, and have to be packed in separate boxes, one only per box. I counted 150 boxes needing labeled stacked around him.

The replacements are still the defective ones, think about that for a bit.

Each replacement is tied to the VIN. The old one MUST be shipped back in the same box the replacement came in, all via UPS and under ORM-D explosives handling practices. The UPS truck is only allowed to carry a limited amount of ODM-D goods per daily trip.

Always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to stuff like this. I know most manufacturers will use a particular part in later models sometimes. And of course in case anyone might have forgotten to make sure, people should definitely make sure that they have proper comprehensive insurance in place too because even normal cars can be death traps too!
