Mysterious model

Postby FlipChez » Sun Oct 09, 2016 7:37 pm

Hi. I drive an '84 UNICORN!!! Very rare mythical creature that has no friends or family. Here's the vin: jhmae5322es003279 anyone wanna help me with figuring out what kind of engine can be dropped in it. I'm so lost for resources. I am NOT car savy and I got this car thinking oh boy a Honda. Little did i know what o was getting into. I don't think much more needs to be said about The circumstances. Could someone point me in the right direction.

My immediate concern is to get it back in the road.

En route
It was slowly dying before something gave out.
Over revving. Very strained. Sounded slippery before not working.
Then My clutch pedal pressed all the way down without much effort.
Still in third slipping not grinding.
Took it out of third and couldn't get it connected to another gear since.
Meandered to safe place.

The engine turns
(The engine is another complete issue but it's not what's preventing me from driving.)
There's a click when I move the shifter into gear. Sounds like it moves into gear but there's no power from the engine to the wheels.

What sort of things could be wrong and what/where can I purchase the things I need to correct the issue?

It's not very mysterious, just old. Sounds like a worn clutch.
I got a new shell, just need to stop driving the DX so I can work on it.

I've got a filter for my mouth, it just isn't a good one.
