CRX with B20B All out of ideas Please Help

Postby existanzcivicb20 » Fri May 26, 2017 6:22 pm

Ok 1990 CRX SI swapped a b20b using a p28 chipped, using stock CRX fuel rail and injectors car starts with no problem but then dies a few moments later. NO CEL CODES. I've tried swapping TPS, smoked the intake manifold for leaks, new grounds, 3 map sensors im st a loss here please help.

when i start the car it idles at about 500 RPMs and if I try hitting the accelerator it dies. If I disconnect the MAP sensor the car turns on with no problem and idles perfectly but if I try hitting the accelerator it bogs out and dies. Please watch videos for reference. I measured the fuel pressure is at about 28psi at idle with the vacuum line connected to the FPR and 38psi disconnected

Again no cel codes unless i disconnect the MAP Please watch videos.

Timing should not be an issue I never messed with it but I'll check it again

If your timing is off you may have jumped a tooth on the timing belt.

Also check your spark and see if is strong. Could be your coil going bad.

are you 100% sure that you haven't mixed up the MAP, TPS and or IAC connectors?

Also is the map on the tb, or firewall mounted?

Yes i am sure all the right connectors on the right location. I even tried swapping into the wrong location. I have both on the TB and fire wall and when I disconnect one and connect the other it's the same results starts and dies.

What I have done now is i swapped the green and yellow wire on the TPS and the car runs great but bogs down at full throttle (because it now reads backwards). The only code I have is 41.

IDK if problem was solved but
I wired my car from a dx to Y8. story short the ecu plug converter has the O2 sensor jumped with ignition control module(white wire). and yes it was the cheapo OBD to obdI plug.
never assume, always check and recheck.
