Ya i cant argue that hahah... especially since i work out in LA but i carry a little blanket in my car so wherever i park i cover them.. close the screen & take off the faceplate.

i bet the L7 put in work... it was my first choice & i almost bought it but ended up going with the CVRs

So I have had gigantic sound systems in cars, in high school I installed systems.

I have an ultra budget system in my car right now, no apologies it works for me.

$99 Kwood Head unit from 2009 also 4 Kwood KFC 6.5s $60 pair in 2009 Image

Kill switch because of an unsolved short.

Old Amp from a system I built in 2006 $250 back in the day, Sony xm-sd22x 500 watts rms bridged 4 ohms. This amp is Smooth, clean, and reliable/no heat problems.

And Drum roll please.....

Better sound if the sub was turned back and was in the hatch.

:word:

It still amazes me how many people don't realize the benefit of facing the sub towards the rear

lol No,I'm not ignorant, I prefer rear facing, there are reasons why I have it setup the way I do.... I Want to use my Hatch. There is to much squeaking and plastic I don't want to pay for Dynamat or peel and seal. The biggest reason, I don't wanna have to reseal my back Windows. My car is old, the seals are old and right now it's not leaking. I've blown Window Seals and dealt with leaky cars.

You guys can do what you want, my cheap a** is being cheap.

since i bought the rear interior i put my subs like this now & i HATE how much it vibrates everything hahah... especially the pedals.

what sucks is i cant use my hatch at all basically... maybe i should just invest in a single L7 now

Here's my '13 CRZ Focal build. Just bought a '88 for my next project that will have a dozen 10" Alpine TypeR subs. Here's what's in my CRZ now:

Pioneer AVH4500BT Head Unit
4 Focal FPD 900.1 Amplifiers
2 Focal FPD 600.4 Amplifiers
Focal 165 KRX3 3-way component set in doors
2 sets Focal 165 KRX2 2-way component set in windows and rear hatch
2 Focal 46 KX4 18" quad-coil subs

I had a single 12 power acoustik fubar 1800 w max in a 1.75 cube slot port box. nasty. probably helped a lot that my interior is stripped totally...

Eventually I'll have some square kickers again. I had 2 l5's in a kicker box with a 450 watt Memphis pushing them, but some lowlife decided he wanted to get some sounds without paying for them.

I'm not sure that it wasn't the guy I bought them from, craigslist deal.

La rex, seriously, please give some details to your setups.

Is that a single 15 in the first shot?

I'm thinking my next box will contain 2 12's but I was throwing around the 15 idea, as I've never had one.

I really wish I still had my pair of 12 inch l5s in the kicker ported box..

first is an 18" fi sp4 on a ct sounds 7k...gets low and loud but takes up all the room..you can build it taller as I was staying below the window line..scored 152.3 at 44hz...second is 2 custom built 15s (dlp motors, tantric softies with only 1 spider each) in an "experimental" burp box tuned to 55hz and a crescendo bc2000d for stock 2k class..153.0 at 64hz....third is my current musical setup for inbetween comps..American bass xr12, 4" aeroport 16" long for 30hz..gets down for one 12 at 2ohm on b2 zero.5. I have a 320 amp ohio amp alternator, hc1400 under the hood and kr 3112 in the spare tire well.

Looking good man. My buddy has two american bass 12's, don't know models or specs but the guy that sold them to him warned him the car is going to rattle apart lol

They're in an armored plated box Super Bass ProBox Pretty dammm loud, but we're not at competing stage yet, still need alternator and some better highs, I think he's running alpine highs in his TC, it was installed by best buy and he's had it all apart several times.
