I will defiantly keep everyone posted on Radio Flyers progress.
Ok, this is going to be an ongoing thread for my project. I have pictures from when I bought the rex and hopefully it will end up looking better than brand new.
Tomorrow I'm going to start posting the pictures. I do appreciate any helpful or opinionated information. I take criticism very well. So, check back tomorrow.
Here are some new pictures of my progress so far. I have the ST bar installed, the front/rear suspension done. The rear disc swap is complete. The only problem is I think I put to stiff of springs on the rear. I think they were 400's, paired with the bar its way to rough I believe. I might have to swap the 350's back in.
I also spent some time this past weekend in the garage while it snowed like hell outside cleaning the engine bay. I did my best with what I had.
I tackled the task of bleeding the brakes myself. I made a homemade bleeding system that involved a busted broom handle and a water bottle for my catch system. I used Russell brake bleeders, they worked like a charm. And yes, I even have brakes.
Very strange that you have no replies here... I only saw this because of your signature. Don't be afraid to add pics with a reply, instead of just editing. Anyway, looks like you have your hands full with that rust. Good luck with it. Nice choice of products for the rest of the project!
Sure am! Just not sure which one. The more I read the more I'm leaning towards the ZC for my first swap. That way I don't get over my head. I'm going to work on the body first of all. The rust is going to be fun!

Blox lower control arms
KYB AGX shocks
Ground Control springs, off the shelf rates I'm assuming from another post
Suspension Techniques sway bar
Disk brake swap
stainless lines (you said Russel?)
I saw some adjustable camber upper arms too...
Thanks for all the replies! I was getting worried there for a second.
Good eye rex2nr!
The Ground control springs are 250 up front and 400 in the rear. I think I'm going to swap the 350 springs onto the rear. Right now its to stiff and the fender gap I don't like. It sits about 2 inches higher in the rear than the front. And that is adjusted almost all the way down.
The ST sway bar was a piece of cake to install. Its amazing how much that helps. I took the car out last night to get the pregnant wife a snickers bar, its amazing how at sixty the car handles better than at 30. I love it.
The camber arms are skunk2. I know everyone says they are not needed but I wanted something new and shiney! Shiney good!

I have a new door skin for the passenger, waiting for a deal on the drivers side. Still trying to source some rocker panels. I think I can still order them from majestic for about 80 bucks a piece.
Any suggestions are more than welcome! I'm new to the CRX so I'm learning as I go. Somethings may not be to pretty but I'm fairly good at welding and have the tools to do so.

I was running that same suspension setup (minus the sway bar) on my b16 CRX before I sold it. I was not a fan of the KYB's at ALL. I thought they were complete trash. Later I found out, by looking at the shock dyno information for them that they are in fact, ****ty. You should swap them out for Koni Yellows. They're a highly superior shock, albeit a bit more expensive.
Tell me about it. I switched the 400's in the back to 350's tonight. I'll test the ride tomorrow. Lets hope its a little more forgiving. I also cleaned up the rear bumper brace. Brace is going to get a new paint job tomorrow if the weather holds. Going to tackle the front strut bar tomorrow as well. I'll post some pictures as the progress well...progresses.
Ok, a few more updates. I bolted on the Neuspeed strut bar,
cleaned up and painted the rear bumper brace, going to install later today. I primered it all up and painted it with a paint that has a hammered look to it.
And I had some red paint laying around. So I cleaned up the battery hold down bar and painted it. Thought it turned out ok, adds a little color to the bay.
It had its fair share of rust. But a couple hours with the grinder and drill with metal brush it looked damn near new. The only thing I worry about is the gunk inside the beams.
Just for kicks I would take a rotten bumper brace than all the rust I have on the rockers/doors any day.
OK everyone, sorry for such a long delay. Things around here have been very busy. Where do I start. Well I guess the most important thing is YES, I still have Radio Flyer. Unfortunately she had to be down graded, 10 miles of gravel road was a little to rough for the setup I had. We sold our house and land and moved to my parents ranch. We are in the process of building a log house on the ranch. Building as in, right now I'm drawing up the plans. Radio is doing great! I got an exhaust system for Christmas. The thing I love best about her is she still doesn't leak a drop of anything even with 215K miles on her. Kind of funny, this weekend we're going to trade in our jeep for a Honda pilot. Our jeep only has 103K miles on it and the tranny is going. So, I still have a few parts laying around in piles. The biggest is a passenger door skin with a few bumps and bruises, I think I have some door hinges too.
Just wanted to let everyone know what is going on. Shoot a reply back to me, I'd like to hear from you all.
