If you sell your CRX, you should not be entitled to be moderator of a CRX enthusiast forum...

I don't see a problem with it, as long as you are active, knowledgeable and continuing with handling the job duties.
Life brings changes, whether it be financial, priorities, space to keep the car, just because you sell the car, doesn't make you less of an enthusiasts or disqualify you as a current moderator.

You just have to be a crx enthusiast. And log in and do something once in a while.

Agreed. If you're an enthusiast and are helpful, and active on the forum then you can be a moderator on the forum.
