Hi,
My 91 CRX Si just failed smog due to a high idle (1000RPM). The smog tech said that it must be around 750RPM. When I look on the tach, it shows as 650RPM, but the smog tech's timing light showed him 1000 RPM and he said the analog tachs are inaccurate at lower RPMs.
I have confirmed the coolant is topped off. What are the other things that could be contributing to the high idle and how can I address them?
