2 crxs to 1

Postby zzzhondazzz » Sun Oct 07, 2018 9:27 pm

I got and 87 crx si with a D16A1 fully stock, got it in 2011 drove it for 3 years with no problems but realized rust build up that the previous owner covered up with instafoam,
anyway started looking for a new shell found one, its a 83 crx with nothing on it just a roller.
My question before I start digging in what should I start on first I'm just so overwhelmed with everything and should I just start pulling parts .

any ideas would be great !!!

Is your 83 an si? Otherwise forget it. Their was a piece on rpr about going from carb'd to si and ooops I tried it trying to put a d16zc into an 87hf. Not easy. New controll arms new shift linkage new breaks you need the tank from the si. The ECU from a first gen Teg. You need half of the wiring harness. But if the 84(3) is Si. Then yes. Drop everything from the 86 into her. Or... If you tear up the 86si. Keep me in mind as I will buy the Column Switch!!
