Good quality replacement raditor

Postby bmaca455 » Thu Mar 09, 2006 6:37 pm

I'm pretty sure I blew the radiator in my car today. I'm looking for a reasonably priced replacement for it (no fludines or whatever). I know at one point someone posted a link to somewhere that sold a pretty cheep yet good quality metal replacement one. That or something along those lines would be optimal, anyone have any suggestions?

Are you sure or pretty sure? i though mine was leaking. Turns out it was just the radiator overflow hose leaking. If you need a new one. I would look at Majestic Honda. This should be commmon sense, but DO NOT buy a radiator off of EBAY. Even if they say its fine, never buy anything critical like that used. I hope this helps. What exactly happened to make you think it blew, if i may ask?

Its leaking from somewhere around where the lower radiator hose goes connects to it but i can feel the hose all the way in and its compeletely dry so im pretty sure that its got to be a hole in the radiator down there and im leaking a s**t ton of coolant.

Yeah I saw it too... I agree with you about the radiator, the hose seemed fine. I got a replacement at NAPA over the summer and it's fine for me. You could use one like you said from an EF or I think there's an integra one that fits and is metal (not plastic) and it's thicker.
BTW man I really liked your rex, it's one of the cleanest I've seen in the Northeast.
