I recently bought a stock 1985 Honda CRX with 130k on it. When I bought it, it seemed like it didn’t have any get up and go at all. On flat ground in 5th gear about 50 is all it would do at 3000RPMs. I replaced the clutch and that helped a lot, but it still will only do about 60mph at 3000RPMs but that still seems like a lot to me. Also it seems like I have to run through gears pretty quickly. What would be “holding it back”? Maybe this is how they run I’m not sure. I just don’t really like running a 34 year old car at 3k+ down the highway. I’m not trying to beef it up or anything I want to keep it as original as possible but want to know if there is anything I can do to help improve this?
Also where is a good place to get body replacement parts for these?
Thanks in advance!
